Roman Coin Piggy Bank

Description of Bank

I received this unique piggy bank as a gift but have not been able to find any information on it, including its origins, manufacturer or age.

This is a brown and tan piggy bank with what appears to be old Roman coins (reproductions?) embedded in the pottery. The snout looks like a large faceless coin with a slot in it. There is a hole in the bottom missing its plug. No maker’s mark or other identifying features.
