Description of Bank

1940s Rio Hondo Potteries hand painted piggy bank. This shy looking bank has its eyes faced upward toward the coin slot on his head. There are brown and pink details, including a 3-flower pattern around the chest and shoulders, and three buttons on the tummy. There is also a hand painted tail on the back. There is a small hole on the bottom but not large enough to extract coins.

History of Manufacturer

According to Wikipedia, Rio Hondo Potteries operated from 1939-mid 1950s in El Monte, California and is known for making figurines.
