Anchor Hocking Carnival Glass Piggy Bank

Description of Bank

This is a vintage glass piggy bank with a yellowish hue. While there is a large slot on the pig’s back to put coins in the bank, there is no way to remove them. No maker’s mark.

I have seen similar piggy banks online listed as carnival glass and Anchor Hocking piggy bank in marigold.

According to an internet search, “Anchor Hocking piggy banks do not always have a maker’s mark. The most common mark is an anchor superimposed over an “H,” representing the company’s name. The company has evolved over the years, and the mark has changed in size, detail, and placement on the piece.”

Anchor Hocking produced glass piggy banks beginning in the 1950s, so this bank is likely a mid-century piece.

Approx. 4” L, 3.25” H, 2.5” W
