Relpo Planter/Bank

Description of Bank

This is an adorable mid-century (1950s) piggy bank-planter with it’s original plug under the pig’s chin. The head of the pig is the bank, and the body is the planter. There is a bow around its neck and raised pink, blue and white flowers on its side and forehead.

There is a maker’s mark in the pottery that says Relpo 2121. Additionally, there is a foil sticker that says “Relpo Chicago, Ill. Made in Japan.”

History of Manufacturer
