PK Royal Piggy Bank

Description of Bank

This is one of the smallest piggy banks in my collection. It is a white bank, with a pink nose and an identical flower design on each side in yellow, red and a little bit of blue with green leaves. The yellow flower resembles a tulip, and the red flowers resemble poppies.

Side by side maker’s marks are on the bottom. The first says Tresor Verlag. The other says PK Royal W. Germany.

According to AI search results: “Tresor Verlag is a brand that specializes in savings boxes and money boxes, focusing on great design and individuality. The term “Tresor” translates to “treasure” in English, and the company is known for its thought-out and functional products.”

Another AI search result said, “PK Royal is associated with Porzellanfabrik Koenigszelt, a porcelain factory located in Koenigszelt, Germany. The company has a rich history and is known for producing porcelain tableware and other pottery items. The name “Koenigszelt” reflects the town’s historical significance in the porcelain industry.”

While I could not find a manufacture date for this piggy bank, items from this company with similar designs or function are labeled as from the 1970s. The colors in the floral design also lead me to believe that is an accurate guess.

Approx. 3.5” L, 2.75” H, 2” W

Have Information?

I don’t know if this bank is ceramic or porcelain, the precise manufacture date or the history of the manufacturer (many websites that came up in search results were in the German language). If you are in the know, comments and e-mails are welcome!
