Description of Bank
Ceramic double piggy bank. The left pig has its eyes and mouth open and wears a textured blue bow around its neck, while the right pig appears asleep and wears a textured yellow bow around its neck. Both pigs have a textured floral pattern. Only the left pig has a stopper hole at the bottom but both pigs have coin slots at the top. No maker’s mark or sticker.
Possibly a rare find from mid-century Japan. I found other double piggy banks listed as dating from the 1950s. Likely hand-painted.
Approx. 4” L, 3” H, 5” W
